当国际油价降低的当儿，大马却调涨油价导致民怨四起，伊斯兰党瓜拉登嘉楼国会议员拉惹卡马鲁抨击这种“开倒车”的做法是因为政府已经没钱。拉惹卡马鲁也认为，国库过度依赖石油单一收入显示政府懒惰。“我们是否每一年都要调涨油价？我们近期已面对百物上扬，很快又要面对消费税，这真的是因为他们要合理化津贴吗？单一依赖石油收入是自杀式计划，也是施政怠惰。”
