大马政府拿下平静号逾半个月后，一马公司以船体恶化为由入禀法庭要求加速变卖游艇。据称拥有该游艇的通缉犯刘特佐表示，这显示首相马哈迪索取平静号的“诡计”适得其反。
一马公司案通缉犯刘特佐今天通过其律师发表文告，指马哈迪在非法索取平静号后，“现在明白要花数百万来维护该游艇，所以他唯一的选择是，以大折扣非法快速变卖（平静号）。”
