议长班迪卡早前指国会议会常规并没有不信任动议的条例，因此无法对首相纳吉展开不信任投票。但是前首相马哈迪援引宪法43（4），指相如果失去了国会下议院大多数的信任，就应提出内阁总辞，质疑议长藐视宪法。
