虽然纳吉接获税收局的破产通知书，但纳吉仍未宣告破产。《马新社》报道，辩护律师魏永康（音译）对记者表示，高庭主簿告知控辩双方，纳吉未破产。
税收局早前向纳吉追讨17亿所得税欠款，并发出破产通知书。
税收局律师今天建议法庭宣告纳吉破产，但辩方律师反对税收局的这项申请。
魏永康说，“法庭随后告知涉及各方，现阶段（纳吉）尚未宣告破产。”
目前纳吉正在入禀法庭暂缓破产诉讼和申请撤销破产通知书；此外，上诉庭将在6月16日聆审纳吉挑战高庭批准税收局追税的裁决。
