In his speech at the third Liberalism Conference held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) president Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin said the recent reappointments of top executives in the government-linked companies (GLCs) are a good sign but it will take a while before true competence and independence in the companies will be realised.
