财长林冠英表示政府目前正在商谈收购四条大道，并在收购后以"交通疏导费"模式取代现有的大道收费模式。
林冠英表示，这样的做法能够让道路使用者每年节省1亿8000万令吉，同时政府不需要因冻结过路费而赔偿特许经营公司53亿。
他也强调，征收交通疏导费将能够填补收购大道后所产生的债务，同时能为大道的运营和维护费用提供资金。
“政府预计收购4条大道将需要6个月的时间，以处理法律、监管和财务上的问题。”
