Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Tuesday said the haze caused by forest fires in Indonesia had been an embarrassment for him and Indonesians as the problem continued to be plaguing their neighbouring nations, Malaysia and Singapore.
“I sometimes feel embarrassed. This week I’m going to Malaysia and Singapore. However, I am also aware that haze has become news headlines affecting our neighbours,” he said during a coordination meeting on forest and land fires.
