Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak says he cannot be blamed for the 1MDB scandal as it was due to a systemic failure and Goldman Sachs not fulfilling its fiduciary duty. He said this in response to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng who on Friday asked Najib when he was going to apologise over the state fund’s huge losses and take responsibility following Goldman Sachs’ apology over the involvement of its former employee Tim Leissner.
