In an interview with Bloomberg during its New Economy Forum in Singapore on Nov 6, Malaysian Prime Minister-in-waiting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hit out at financial institutions and government leaders for being complicit to the financial crime that unfolded in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon also said he feels horrible with his company’s involvement in the scandal.
