Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said on Tuesday US prosecutors had promised to help return money that Goldman Sachs charged for its dealings with troubled Malaysian state fund 1MDB.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a speech he delivered in Singapore during his official two-day visit there.
Dr Mahathir and wife Dr Siti Hasmah earlier were conferred with honorary Doctor of Laws and distinguished alumni service from their alma mater.
