As 2016 comes to a close, we’re taking a look at this year’s top trending YouTube Videos .
How could we forget Beyonce surprising Channing Tatum on Lip Sync Battle or Adele’s Carpool Karaoke??
The top trending YouTube videos have been announced and if you missed any of them while in their prime, not to worry because we’re going to relive all of the madness. Starting with the number one top trending YouTube video – Adele’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden on the Late Late Show.
She frickin killed it and that will go down in Carpool Karaoke history as one of the best carpool segments ever hands down. But this next one is a little more difficult to explain. In fact there really is no explanation other than Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen.
Yeah the internet is a strange place. Next up is the What’s Inside channel’s video about what’s inside a Rattlesnake’s Rattle. Basically they took the butt of a dead rattlesnake and cut it open with a box cutter because who hasn’t wondered what’s up in there, But turns out there really isn’t anything in there and it’s really, what are called buttons, that make the rattle noise when they rattle against each other. Fun fact.
Nike’s short film, The Switch came in fourth. The short starred Cristiano Ronaldo and chronicled what would happen if he switched bodies with a young fan.
Cool concept right? Needless to say, that fan had the time of his life, Cristiano Ronaldo, not so much. Would you want to give up that body??
Next up is Grace VanderWaal who stole everyone’s hearts with her audition on America’s Got Talent.
And if her voice didn’t already bring you to tears, the moment when she received the golden buzzer and was sent straight to the live show certainly will.
Girlfriend went on to win the competition and is on a steady incline to superstardom so watch out world. And we can’t conclude this list without acknowledging the epic moment that was Channing Tatum dressed as Beyonce, dancing with Beyonce on Lip Sync Battle.
I cried actual tears and so did Channing’s wife, Jenna. Channing later revealed that that very moment was his first time meeting Beyonce and actually made plans for he, Jenna, Jay, and B to get together for lunch to which she responded, “That would be great! As long as you don’t come dressed as me.” Amazing. I’d like to add that Jenna absolutely slayed her battle as well dancing to Pony while doing the choreo from Magic Mike, but anyone would be outshined went up against the Queen B. It was clearly an unfair fight.
The top 10 trending Youtube vids were rounded off with the Water Bottle Flip Edition video by Dude Perfect, John Oliver’s segment on Last Week Tonight where he ripped apart Donald Trump, Casey Neistat’s vlog documenting his experience traveling on Emirate Airlines in a $21,600 first class seat, and the video of the two brothers pranking their sister into thinking the zombie apocalypse had commenced while she was drugged on meds after getting her wisdom teeth removed.
