And I must say, some stars got pretty crafty this, some being completely unrecognizable while some even caused a full-on, hard-hitting mic drop.
And yes, I’m talking about an actual mic drop in the most literal sense, because I’m about to kick off the list with Cheeto-costume alumn Katy Perry who dressed as a microphone, where she actually fell to the floor.
And continuing the list on strong, other celebs channeled famous movie characters like Gigi Hadid and Heidi Klum, who we all know to be the Halloween QUEEN. They posed together as Sandy from Grease and a super sexy Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabit. Next up, we have miss T-Swift who was in the middle of performing her very last 1989 U.S. show when she surprised the audience as Olaf from Frozen while her and Idina Menzel tag-teamed “Let It Go” and all chill was lost.
The Jo Bros. went all out as well, as Nick J. channeled the Hamburglar and Joe bundled up as Will Ferrel’s Blades of Glory character, Chaz Michael Michaels. Channing Tatum rocked a full-on Winnine the Pooh outfit, and I just gotta say, THANK THE LORD there’s actually a six-pack hidden under that belly. And while performing a sold-out iHeartRadio show, Ariana Grande dressed was ANYTHING but a nightmare before Christmas as she rocked a sexy Jack Skellington getup.
The Kardashians seemed to be a hot Halloween trend this year, as Live With Kelly and Michael host Kelly Rippa perfectly created Kim Kardashian’s naked Paper Magazine shoot and Ellen Degeneres decided to create her own Kardashian, calling herself “Karla Kardashian”, boobs and butt included.
And speaking of the Kardashians, Kim K got REAL crafty and decided to go as herself in her infamous prego floral getup when North West was just a bun in the oven, but we can’t say we’re too surprised with this one. Kourtney Kardashian and her 3 kiddos all dressed as super heroes while Kylie Jenner dressed as what looks like a cross between Princess Leia circa the gold bikini prisoner days and a ninja warrior princess, seeing that she’s surrounded by her loyal ninja followers.
Beyonce and the Carter clan dressed up as the cast from the 1988 film Coming to America, Beyonce channeling Madge Sinclair and Jay Z transformed into Eddie Murphy’s character Prince Akeem. Demi Lovato put a spin on pop culture as she came dressed as an actual Trap Queen, with mouse traps and booby traps covering her royal cape… Major shout out to Fetty Wap for the inspo.
And a few celebs were completely unrecognizable, and believe it or not, under all that cat fur is Iggy Azalea, while Chrissy Teigen rocked the infamous bleach-blonde hairdo of Food Network star Guy Fieri. Many celebs went the more traditional route, as Tori Kelly and her perfect voluptuous mane dressed as a lion, Nicki Minaj was some sort of magical fairy princess, JLo and her beau Casper Smart appeared hand-in-hand as sexy skeletons and Scott Eastwood gave the Where’s Waldo character a run for his money.
Shay Mitchell stepped out donning a bold fire-truck red wig as Poison Ivy and Miley Cyrus donned a Cinderella character, complete with a blunt in her mouth because how else does one mop up floors and slave after their evil step mother without some weed to keep you calm? And last, but certainly NOT least, the celeb who went all out, going as a fictional character, completely unrecognizable, and suffering a massive nip slip, Arrow star Colton Haynes channeled the evil sea witch Ursula and this is the REAL mic drop people! I don’t even want to know how long this one took, but this one definitely takes the cake for 2015 in my opinion.
