Ouch. 3 Fans attempt to get their picture taken with 5 Seconds of Summer but are rudely given the cold shoulder and turned away by security.
Upset, the shunned fan taking the video took to tumblr to explain what had happened.
According to her version of the story, she was with her family and a friend when they spotted 5SOS exiting their car and walking towards a restaurant. She made it very clear that she was not stalking them and just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
There was no mob or anyone else there to witness the boys getting out of the car other then the fan and her two friends. Upon nicely asking if she and her friends could take a picture with 5SOS, they were turned away by security who told the fans to leave 5SOS alone on their day off.
When the fan said to the security quote – “we don’t take a night off from buying their music” the security snapped back saying, “we don’t ask you to buy music, that’s your choice.”
The fan posted that she doesn’t blame the boys for what happened, but rather is disappointed in the way their security handled the situation. She says QUOTE, “To make it clear we are not blaming the boys especially, Luke twice wanted to stop for a picture but security wouldn’t let him. They could’ve explained calmly and not made a scene which they started, not us.”
Additionally, when the fan pointed out to security that taking a picture wouldn’t cause a scene since there were only 3 of them, security insisted that the interaction would cause a mob from the, may I point out, nonexistent presents of screaming girls.
So, who’s to blame here? And do you think that girls were asking too much?
