5 Seconds of Summer’s new song “She’s Kinda Hot” will have you screaming at the top of your lungs.
The fellas of 5SOS just dropped a super catchy new summer anthem song, and you’re KINDA gonna love it.
“She’s Kinda Hot” was co-written by Benji and Joel Madden, along with John Feldmann. The melody is instantly lovable, the lyrics are filled with young teenage angst and here’s another listen.
The song is giving us a fresh My Chemical Romance/ Fall Out Boy vibe. Yeah? The tune is partly about a girlfriend that’s kinda naggy, put you on meds, screams a lot, but is still really hot. And the rest of the track is dedicated to the independent youth who’s parents just don’t understand them. But! It’s all gonna be ok. The lyrics explain, “They say we’re losers but we’re all alright with that, We’re all believers that they’re not coming back.” And then the chorus chants, “We are the kings and the queens of the new broken scene, Yeah we’re alright though.”
5SOS’ new Summer track was released just in time for the North America leg of their Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour live, kicking off in Vegas tonight.
