We’ve seen it all from itty bitty two-pieces to actual celeb birthday suits, (yeah, we see you Kim K.), but something must be in the water come 2016 because the one-piece is taking over people!
You know what they say, ‘modesty is the best policy’… ok, so that’s never what they’ve said when it comes to swim suit season, but this year in particular, celebs are covering up and letting their killer curves do the talking as the famous ‘90s summer style is making its epic comeback, causing temperatures to rise to an all-time HOTNESS.
Take it from exhibit A: Kim Kardashian took to Instagram over the weekend posing in her hubby’s Pablo-inspired simple white one-piece swim suit with a sassy side of CURVES, captioning the photo “TheWifeOfPablo”, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her wearing this much clothing before… but she IS Kim Kardashian and couldn’t look awful if she tried.
Next up, Iggy Iggs posted a photo wearing her birthday suit… well, technically just a super hot body-hugging white one-piece, complete with cutout sides from the bottom to the top, that happened to be on her birthday vacationing somewhere tropical… safe to say she does the whole vacationing thing the RIGHT way.
King Kylie Jenner is also no stranger to the one-piece parade, as she posted a selfie wearing a plain black swim suit, also accentuating her famous Kardashian curves, and just in case you need to remember the name, a giant KING KYLIE was printed on the front in gold for your convenience.
The Jenners’ famous gal pal Hailey Baldwin made a simple suit look red hot over the weekend, channeling her inner Baywatch, in a bright red one-piece swim suit over the weekend with the clothing brand letters GCDS written in white. That said, give the girl a whistle and a floating device, and she’s got herself a spot next to Zac Efron in the upcoming Baywatch film.
And the winner of the one-piece summer 2016 trend thus far has got to go to Olivia Culpo and her sexy white cut-out one-piece that just set our summer standards to a record-breaking high, and may or may not be the deciding factor in renewing my gym membership for another year.
The former Miss Universe flawlessly appeared exiting the water in Ibiza in this criss-crossed cream white cut-out suit by Solid & Striped, and really, have you ever seen anything more perfect in the entire universe?!
