A six-year-old boy took his parents’ car on a joyride in Langkawi last night, before crashing the vehicle some 2.5km away from home.
According to Langkawi police chief Shariman Ashari, the cops are now probing the parents for negligence.
“The incident happened about 11.15pm after the child drove the Toyota Vios with his three-year-old brother in tow, before crashing into a lamppost by the side of the road near Titi Chanwang,” Shariman said in a statement today.
Police said the boys are believed to have sneaked out when their father was asleep and the mother was in the bathroom.
