Tourism Kickoff 2017 : Citrawarna KL
Since 1999, the Tourism Ministry have been having its annual tourism kick-off in conjunction with World Tourism Day at Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur. It is called Citrawarna, or "Colours Of Malaysia", This year on 28 October at 4:30 pm the entire surroundings was transformed into a sea of activities with a blast of sounds, colours and crowd. The theme The Sunrise, The Green & The Echo Within may sound deep . However , it is in simple terms about ecotourism and the idea that our earth or environment is the landscape or canvas for tourism. Street dances, musical performances,tree planting events, even food truckers add to the festivity mix of art, heritage and lifestyle inspired by the beauty of the forests and the seas.
