More than 1,000 Pakatan Harapan supporters have thronged the streets of Jalan Serindit, Sungai Bakap since 6:30am today.

The crowd, mostly clad in red, marched about 200 metres from Umno Jawi division building to the nomination centre.

Leading the pack was the PKR candidate, Joohari Ariffin, accompanied by the government’s top guns including Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Foreign Minister Mohamad Hassan.

DUN Sungai Bakap by-election was called following the death of incumbent Nor Zamri Latiff on 24 May 2024.
