Adam Rippon Finally MEETS Celebrity Crush Shawn Mendes

Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon has always talked about having a crush on Harry Styles, but told Ellen DeGeneres that Shawn Mendes has recently entered his radar.
He told the talks show host after winning a bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics QUOTE “I used to have a really huge crush on Harry Styles… But here’s the thing, I was sleeping on Shawn Mendes. I didn’t realize how cute he was. I know Harry will be upset but love is a funny thing.”
Adam attended the 90th Annual Academy Awards and the Vanity Fair party that followed on Sunday night and while I’m sure this experience would’ve been life-changing no matter what, the fact that he actually got to meet and take a selfie with Shawn is definitely the cherry on top. The 28-year-old athlete posted a picture of himself with the 19-year-old musician on Instagram and used the word ‘bruh’ to describe his emotions.
He later uploaded the same photo to Twitter but threw in a little joke. He tweeted QUOTE “I planted the seed and I saw the harvest. He is cute, he is sweet, and the other guy is @ShawnMendes.”
Adam was interviewed at the Oscars before he met Shawn and the host asked if the singer’s Canadian blood is a problem seeing as the United States and Canada have such a big sports rivalry.
And just a few hours later Adam would meet the object of his affection. Can you even imagine?!
Okay, I’m just gonna say it -- I’d do almost anything for Adam Rippon to be my best friend. Isn’t he amazing?! I wish his meeting with Shawn was caught on video, though, because I have a feeling that it was pretty memorable. Which celebrity are you dying to meet?
