Seberang Jaya assemblyperson Dr Afif Bahardin’s preference for the next general election was either to be fielded in Shah Alam or Permatang Pauh as a parliamentary candidate.

Afif he was born in Shah Alam, Selangor and has been politically active there despite having represented the Seberang Jaya constituency in Penang for two terms.

I have longed for a return to Shah Alam. It would be unfair to me if I served in Penang but not in my home town, he said.
