Attorney-General Tommy Thomas said that one of the governments priorities is to repeal oppressive laws and chambers will take steps to repeal them either in whole or in part on an urgent basis.
He said selective prosecution would immediately cease and those who commit no wrong would have nothing to fear.
He added that as guardian of the public interest he would take into account the interest and concerns of the public and would not be confined to the interest of the executive.
