Ampel Mosque is located not far from Tanjung Perak Port, which is the main port in Indonesia of east region, for about 4 km.

As one of the eldest mosque and the most crowded mosque in Surabaya, Ampel Mosque has particular relation with 'Sunan Ampel', who was one of 'Wali Songo' that played an important role to spread Islam in Java.

During Ramadhan or fasting month, Ampel area is become more crowd for it such an Arabic town in Surabaya, where people can find some Islamic merchandises, foods for fast breaking and praying in Ampel Mosque.
