Ansel Elgort shocks James Corden with his singing in “Baby Driver” inspired riff-off, plus get the scoop on his candid new interview with Billboard.
Ansel Elgort is busy promoting his new movie “Baby Driver”, and he’s showing off some hidden talents in the process.
In a hilarious bit with Jamie Foxx on James Corden’s Late Late show, Ansel showed off his singing chops during a “riff-off” while singing the Commodore’s classic hit, “Easy”, and all we can say is damn, boy!
And if that clip alone doesn’t have you swooning or running to grab tickets to see Baby Driver, his interview with Billboard surely will. Sitting down with the mag, he explained why he thinks it’s important as a celeb to blend in, saying QUOTE, “I don’t walk around calling attention to myself. It’s important to be able to blend in; otherwise you turn into a Hollywood douchebag. I’m sure plenty of people think I am one, too. I’m super easy to hate. But it’s fine. It’s hard to be liked and successful.” Um, tell that to the millions of girls and guys who would line up to be your BFF, Ansel.
Speaking of Ansel’s BFF’s he also defended his friends, EDM group The Chainsmokers, after a Rolling Stone interview painted the duo as “bro-y”. Ansel said of the way they were depicted QUOTE, “It’s a prime example of how success makes everyone hate you if you’re not underground…And I’ve also been there. It becomes a meme to hate somebody. But don’t be like, ‘They seem like they’re so bro-y.’ They were never trying to fool anyone into thinking they weren’t bro-y. Sorry if I sound heated. It’s just so easy to be a hater.” Preach, Ansel, preach!
