Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed today that the new Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) executive chairperson will be receiving a pay cut.
On the appointment of a new chairperson, Loke said that he has recommended someone to the prime minister, but it is the prerogative of the latter to appoint.
Loke had revealed that the former Mavcom chairperson salary was approximately RM85,000 a month – nearly four times more than what the prime minister earns.
