Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said tabled the first reading of the much anticipated Anti-Fake News Bill 2018 at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
Under the proposed bill, those found guilty of spreading "fake news" face up to RM500,000 fine or up to 10 years' jail, or both.
