Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced a yearly allocation of RM5 million for the Malaysian Youth Council, aiming to empower young people.

Anwar commended the council's leadership, particularly its president Mohd Izzat Afifi Abdul Hamid, for their dedicated support of the Malaysia Madani concept.

Speaking at the National Youth Day 2023 celebration in Port Dickson yesterday, Anwar emphasized the council's ability to unite youth from diverse backgrounds and highlighted its significance in strengthening the nation.

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun and Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh were also in attendance.
