Agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security such as Felda, Felcra and Risda should convert their idle land with acreage of up to 800 acres into agro-food projects, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
“Only 1.2 million hectares (ha) of land are utilised for food plantations compared to seven million for oil palm and rubber,” he said when tabling Budget 2023.
