Well, it’s hardly been any time at all since we first found out that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are dating, but already, it seems like the two are getting very cozy.
To fill you in, just two weeks after the news surfaced that Ari and Mac Miller broke up, rumors began to swirl that she was dating the Saturday Night Live comedian. Soon after, the rumors were then confirmed by an Us Weekly source that said, QUOTE, “Ariana and Pete are dating and it’s casual. It just started. Ariana is very happy.”
Of course, since we caught wind of the rumors, we’ve been looking for any sort of signs that they’re the real deal, and not gonna lie, after Memorial Day weekend, this relaysh seems pretty real to us!
That’s right, y’all! This past weekend, Ari seemingly confirmed the rumors herself by sharing a Memorial Day post to her Instagram story, which featured the happy couple sitting by a fire and roasting marshmallows. And while the post itself didn’t show their faces, fans were quickly able to tell that it was Pete by her side, mainly because of his tattoos.
Although they seem super happy together from the little bit that we’ve seen so far, the couple is also getting some scrutiny for being together—particularly Pete. In fact, because he battles with borderline personality disorder, some trolls have even suggested that he’s unfit to date anyone, let alone Ari.
Pete clapped back at the haters, saying, QUOTE, “just because someone has a mental illness does not mean they can’t be happy and in a relationship. it also doesn’t mean that person makes the relationship toxic. Everybody is different and there are a lot of treatments for mental illnesses and I have done/am doing all of them. And I encourage those who struggle to seek help as well it has changed my life for the better.” RE-TWEET.
