5SOS’s Ashton Irwin was just rushed to the hospital with appendicitis and Clevver is breaking down what this means for the band’s upcoming shows. Hey guys – okay, so before we get into that, let’s focus on what’s important here – Ashton’s health. The good news is that he’s doing great now, but according to a statement on 5SOS’s website, he did have to go under the knife to have his appendix removed and he’s going to need some time to recuperate before he can play any shows. That means the band won’t be playing in the UK for the Radio 1 Teen Awards and they’ll also have to postpone their upcoming shows in Japan. Obviously, the group (Ashton included) is bummed about having to do this – but health and safety have gotta come first. The band had this to say about the whole situation: We are so sorry to everyone that had planned on seeing us. We were so excited to come see you all and we never want to make any of you sad…we hope you understand!” Well, I feel confident that I can just speak for the 5SOS fans here and say that we do understand – right guys?
