Asian Cake Queen of Auckland | Must eat Asian Lamington

We are huge fans of Folds Patisserie- owned by Wendy Lau and Jason Chour. Wendy is the mastermind behind these Asian inspired cakes. Born in Malaysia and raised in Brunei, Wendy is inspired by the taste of her childhood- ingredients including pandan, coconut, pineapple and gula melaka infuse her creations. It's neat to see a brick and mortar cake shop so different to the norm here in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and is testament to the diversity of the city.

Folds Patisserie, 297 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024. Open 9am-6pm Wednesday to Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. Matcha & Yuzu Gateau $13, Taro & Pistachio Cheesecake $12.50, Pina Colada Choux $9.50, Teh Tarik Swiss Roll $11, Pandan Lamington $11.50
