PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali today cautioned against punishing an individual who has yet to be proven guilty of a crime.
He said this when asked to comment on the recent arrest of PKR Ampang youth chief Adam Rosly over alleged corruption.
The Selangor menteri besar told reporters that no parties should punish an individual just because the person is under investigation.
"We should not punish someone just based on ongoing investigations.
"Leave it to the relevant authorities to carry out their investigations," said Azmin when met at Shah Alam's Car Free Day launch this morning.
Azmin further described Adam's arrest by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission as being part of a normal process.
"Investigations are ongoing, (that is) a normal process," he said.
