Half-Indian Priyanka Yoshikawa has been crowned Miss World Japan, the second consecutive year a biracial contestant has won a major pageant in Japan. But the win has garnered significant backlash on social media, with some asking why the title had not be awarded to a “pure” Japanese instead.
