I'm out showing some cool obstacles you can build for you backyard scale trail course. I am using a Vaterra Ascender Chevy K5 Blazer as my model to run through the course, and I am always impressed by its capabilities as a Tough Truck. If you notice, I am running a sound unit called the "Ess-One" from Sense Innovations. It adds a great growl to my truck and even furthers my experience in immersing my brain into the scale trail world. The tires I am running are the RC4WD 2.2 Mudslingers as well as 100mm King Shocks. The motor is a brushed 27t with a waterproof Tekin FXR ESC (Electronic Speed Control). Overall I am very pleased with the capabilities of this rig, as I have it fairly close to stock. The decal pack I used for the body is from a vintage "Heavy metal" Kyosho Blizzard. I think it adds some extra Pop to the Red Body, and compliments the blue shocks well.
For more information on where you can buy a truck like this - search Google for "Vaterra Ascender". They come in both kit form and in Ready To Run versions (RTR). Like I mentioned, The sound kit I am using is called the "ESS-One" and can be found via Google. I found mine on eBay.. The sound unit is NOT waterproof, but I built a splash guard around it. Notice I never sink the truck passed the top of the door handles.

Some of you will have noticed I was filming and driving - one of the things that makes that easier for me is the Hoyfab Crawlers "All-Thumbs" Jason Hoy came up with this great invention - and you can check out his products at : Make sure to leave him a message if you want one!
