Barbara Walters Chooses Most Fascinating Person of 2015 & Reveals Other Top 9 Celebrities

The women who without a doubt had a bigger and more publicized year than anyone around Hollywood is topping Barbara’s list as she has officially deemed the highest honor on the list after the world got to follow her very inspirational journey, transitioning to a women.
I’ll give ya Barbra’s words in why she felt Caitlyn deserved to take that number one slot. She said QUOTE: "Our choice for the most fascinating person of the year was once called the world's greatest athlete, traditionally, that title was given to the man who won the Olympic decathlon. When Bruce Jenner won it in 1976, it was a huge accomplishment. It had everybody talking. But it was nothing like this. When Bruce Jenner became Caitlyn Jenner, there was a seismic shift in the gender universe."
The package on Caitlyn did not feature an interview, however it did feature bits of her moving speech during Glamour's Women of the Year awards, a flashback on Jenner's athletic accomplishments AND featured multiple times on the small screen for both Keeping Up With the Kardashians and I Am Cait.
Although the year hasn’t only been rainbows and butterflies for Caitlyn, she knows through doing so she’s serving a purpose… When she spoke at the Glamor awards she told the audience "Maybe this is why god put me on this Earth, to tell my story, to be authentic to myself about who I am, and maybe, in doing that, maybe you can make a difference in the world. What a great opportunity in life to have."
Barbra closed her statement by saying that through Caitlyn’s transformation, she’s also changed society and for Barbra, that is what makes Caitlyn the most fascinating person of the year!
The list also included the likes of Amy Schumer, Donald Trump, Tracy Morgan, Bradley Cooper, Misty Copeland and a few others that impacted our lives for the better, so for all of you, AND me included, let’s work on doing some more good for the world come 2016!
