The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show did NOT go as smoothly as originally planned, and now Bella Hadid’s getting REAL about it on Instagram.
That’s right, you guys! Bella Hadid took to Instagram to share an emotionally loaded post about making it through this year’s VS Fashion Show despite its MANY hiccups.
In the post, she wrote, QUOTE, “Yesterday was so unreal on so many levels. It took so much for all of this to come together and truly as a team we pulled it together as a WHOLE.”
So what exactly went wrong? Well, for starters, the event took place in China, and reportedly, a total of FOUR of the models were denied entry into the country a mere few days before they were supposed to hit the runway! What a disaster! Also, just one day after that, Bella’s sister Gigi took to Twitter to share that even though she had a confirmed spot on the runway, she would NOT be flying to Shanghai to participate in the show. Uhh… what?!
So who else was MIA at this year’s show? None other than Kendall Jenner, who according to reports, couldn’t participate this year because she’s currently under contract with a different lingerie brand!
But wait… it gets worse! Models weren’t the only ones denied entry into China for the show! Katy Perry, who was scheduled to be the musical guest, was reportedly, QUOTE, “banned from China indefinitely,” making it impossible for her to follow through with her performance. What a mess!
But, even after all of that bad luck, it kinda seemed like things were finally beginning to turn around when HollywoodLife reported that The Weeknd sent Bella a HUGE bouquet of flowers and a sweet note in an effort to rekindle their romance once again. But alas, the reports do not seem to have a reliable source, so we’re going to say this never actually happened. Bummer!
It wasn’t all bad news, though, because as Bella did say that they were somehow able to pull it together and put on a pretty good show!
