Bella Thorne Spills On Receiving Death Threats After Split From Tyler Posey & Charlie Puth Drama

Teen Wolf fans don’t play around when it comes to Tyler Posey and Bella Thorne learned that first hand.
Going through a breakup is hard enough, but having to deal with a breakup AND getting death threats from your ex-boyfriend’s fan base is probably a lot harder.
It’s seriously a wonder how Bella Thorne managed to stay strong and keep her head high when so many people bashed on her after her split from Tyler Posey. Shortly after the two’s quietly went their separate ways, Bella was spotted hanging out with Charlie Puth – which then of course sparked dating-slash-cheating rumors – and needless to say, the social world immediately went off on the actress after the pictures went public.
In a very telling interview with People magazine, Bella opened up about her breakup from Tyler and the aftermath of it all once word got out. She said QUOTE, “I went through a breakup and that was kind of tough. You know, fans, if you’re just seen with somebody, they think immediately, you gotta be in a relationship with them. Which is not true. I hang out all the time with different people that I’m not dating, that I’m just friends with. I hang out with a lot of guys because I’m a total tomboy. So a lot of my friends end up being guys because a lot of girls are like kind of too girly for me sometimes.”
The former Disney Channel star continued to reveal that once people started to assume that she was cheating on Tyler with Charlie because they didn’t know about their breakup, she received a TON of negative comments and death threats and those affected her deeply.
Bella said that she was QUOTE, “getting death threats for a hot minute because they thought I had cheated on my ex, which is a total lie. When I woke up that morning – it f—king sucks. It doesn’t feel good to think that everybody in the world just thinks you’re an absolutely disgusting person and just because I’m somebody where people know my name, it’s so much worse for me. And people think that, like, we don’t get bullied in Hollywood – but we do! We get bullied by the public eye and fans and it really, let me tell you, it f—king hurts.”
That’s so upsetting to hear. But all negativities aside, Bella’s work life is looking pretty bright. The actress, who stars in the upcoming Freeform series, ‘Famous In Love,’ shared quite a few new character photos and pictures of her alongside her cast members on the show. Needless to say, she’s pretty excited about ‘Famous In Love,’ which premieres April 18th on Freeform.
