Charlie Puth REFUSES To Talk About Bella Thorne Relationship

Charlie Puth got grilled over his past rumored relationship with Bella Thorne and things got super awkward… and FAST.
Just a few days ago Charlie Puth appeared on The Zach Sang Show and was totally put on the spot in regards to the true meaning behind two of his new songs.
So, we know what you’re thinking… are the songs about Bella?! Well, although Charlie remained rather tight-lipped when asked about who inspired his songs “Attention,” and “How Long,” the cringe-worthiness of the interview pretty much says it all.
If you remember, photos surfaced back in December of the two being super flirty on the beach in Miami, and to say that the Internet “reacted” would be a total understatement. Unfortunately, those seemingly harmless photos turned out to be the cause of some MAJOR drama, because apparently Charlie got wind of the idea that perhaps things weren’t quite over between Bella and her ex, Tyler Posey. As it turns out, it was all a big misunderstanding… we think? But even so, it doesn’t really seem like Bella and Charlie’s friendship, or flirtationship, ever quite recovered.
Anyways, now that he’s been releasing new music, it seems like maybe Charlie is getting ready to talk about that chapter in his life. Well… not really! But he did confirm a few things that have us completely shook. First, he confirmed that both of those songs are somehow connected and are about the same person. What?! And also, he admitted that “How Long” is about a time that HE cheated in a relationship, but possibly as revenge. Wow.
And although he wouldn’t exactly name names, Charlie went pretty deep into why his privacy has become super important to him. He said, QUOTE, “I’ve made it a pact to myself and told myself I was just going to be private from now on, and the relationships that I wanted to be private actually ended up being public not because I wanted them to be, but because people like had ulterior motives and didn’t actually want to date me but just wanted to get a quick boost of TMZ.” Hmm…
Other than that, Charlie remained super secretive about the real-life details that inspired his new music, leaving it open for interpretation by his listeners.
Okay, so it doesn’t seem like Charlie will be dishing to juicy details to fans any time soon, but luckily, Charlie did say we would understand the full story when we listen to his upcoming album in full, and we’re not sure about you, but we can’t wait!
