Bethany Mota PERFECT 10'S on Dancing With the Stars!

The pressure was ON in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom last night and for those of you who missed out on the competition, well, our YouTube girl Bethany Mota dominated with her partner Derek Hough…landing 10’s ALL AROUND! First things first, when I said the pressure was on, I was NOT kidding. The duo danced to Gene Kelly’s Singing in the Rain, and Derek was seriously stressed out about paying homage to the icon…And during the rehearsal week things got pretty tense.
But all the hard work and nervousness paid off, because Bethany and Derek absolutely nailed it! And can we take a moment to appreciate the amazing work this pair did with real umbrellas?
They would’ve gotten perfect 10’s from me just for that toss move, but Derek and Bethany’s jazz number took things to the next level with some fancy tap-inspired footwork on top of an elevated portion of the stage.
Overall, it was an incredible performance. Derek’s sister Julianne Hough sympathized with Bethany over knowing how hard it can be to work under pressure with her bro, while even funny-man Kevin Hart seemed truly moved by Derek taking on a number from one of his idol’s Gene Kelly. But when it came down to the final hour…here’s what happened:
Yes, that was the second perfect score of the night – first it was our girl, PLL star, Janel Parrish and her partner Val Chermokovsky also landed perfect 10’s for their Westside story performance – it was amazing! Big congrats go out to both pairs of dancers – and it looks like competition is really heating up! It’s a pretty big deal to be getting 10’s at this point on the show.
