The Beyoncé's (I mean, Knowles-Carters) finally speak! ClevverNews has their official statement right here. The world has been speculating as to what really happened inside that elevator ride where Solange Knowles attacked her brother-in-law Jay Z, after gazillions of rumors, we now have an official statement from the people who were actually involved. A joint statement released to the AP on Thursday reads: "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same." Okay, we'll try. In case you weren't aware -- aka you've been hiding under a pile of clothing or something -- security footage from an elevator ride after the Met Gala on May 5th showed Solange violently attacking her sister Beyoncé's husband. There have been many stories as to why the fight occurred -- infidelity, jealously, pride, -- but this is the first we've officially heard from Beyoncé, Hov, or Solange. Well, unless you want to count the odd behavior Beyoncé and Solange have been displaying on social media. After the footage leaked, Solange deleted some photos with Beyoncé off her Instagram, while Beyoncé then posted a slew of TBT photos on Instagram with Solange in them. Beyoncé also posted a photo of herself and Rihanna on Instagram, as many thought the fight had something to do with Jay Z wanting to attend Rihanna's Met Gala after party without Queen B. Another update in this situation -- the employee from NYC's Standard Hotel who leaked the footage for a reported $250,000 has been fired. Womp womp -- looks like that pay day will go towards legal fees since the hotel has mentioned they will most likely press charges.
