Beyoncé just participated in our sister magazine, Elle’s, “Ask Me Anything” segment and really opened up. She’s typically very private, but she decided to share a very personal & heart wrenching story with her fans.
What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and Beyonce just spilled all the tea in a recent interview with Elle Magazine!
She talked about some of her award losses, previous awkward interviews, and she got real when talking about some of her past miscarriages.
In the "Ask Me Anything" interview, Bey was asked if she was "disappointed" after losing out on awards for her album, Lemonade and her concert film, Homecoming.
Her response was as poised as ever. Beyonce said quote, “I began to search for deeper meaning when life began to teach me lessons I didn't know I needed. Success looks different to me now. I learned that all pain and loss is in fact a gift.”
She went on to explain how having miscarriages actually taught her this lesson.
Bey said quote, “Having miscarriages taught me that I had to mother myself before I could be a mother to someone else. Then I had Blue, and the quest for my purpose became so much deeper. I died and was reborn in my relationship, and the quest for self became even stronger. It's difficult for me to go backwards.”
Woooo that one hits deep Queen Bey. Preach.
She went on to explain that being "number one" was no longer her "priority."
Bey said quote, "My true win is creating art and a legacy that will live far beyond me. That's fulfilling."
She also opened up to her fans about balancing work and her personal life, which she said is the "most stressful thing" for her.
Which we all kinda understand.
Bey said quote, “Making sure I am present for my kids — dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family — all while running a company can be challenging. Juggling all of those roles can be stressful, but I think that's life for any working mom.”
And she’s right. It definitely is. I love any details we get about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s life because they are so private.
Now I just can’t stop thinking about Beyonce dropping Blue off at school and how that’s the most normal, yet cutest thing ever. Imagine being a mom at that elementary school! I’d be hanging around the drop off all day every day.
Anyway back to the interview.
In the photos from the piece, Beyonce wore pieces from her upcoming collab between her activewear brand Ivy Park and Adidas.
She’s also been posting pics from the collab on her Instagram revealing that it drops on January 18th.
But I want to know what you guys think.
