A group of BN supporters gathered outside the Perdana Putra building in Putrajaya today to protest Perak BN's decision to drop Ong Ka Chuan as the candidate for the Tanjung Malim seat.
The group called for the Tanjung Malim incumbent to be retained as a GE14 candidate.
Perak MCA chief Mah Hang Soon will be taking over the Tanjung Malim parliamentary seat.
In a statement released today, Ong Ka Chuan said he accepted the decision made by the party and will not be running as a candidate in GE14.
He added that he will still be making rounds throughout the country in order to assist MCA and other BN component parties in my capacity asMCA’s secretary-general.
