The boys are back and we are building again. There is so much to do and trouble shoot in this little machine.. because the instructions are almost adequate. Let me elaborate. This build is very exciting.. but in classic international instructions.. there are some parts that are not very clear. Now todays video was only 26 minutes long.. but it took us 8 hours to film.. as one of the issues we ran into was the flow of the hydraulic oil. It seemed as there was too much pressure the entire time. We tried to figure it out for hours.. we could not find any where in the instruction on how to adjust oil pressure. Well.. after the boys left.. I found it. There was a pin that needed to be added to the actual pump. This pin was located below the feeder tube from the hydraulic tank.. and BEHIND A SCREW that needed to be removed.
Then, by adding the adjuster, we could adjust the pressure. BUT.. there was also another problem that plagued what we were doing. The hydraulic valves are SO SENSITIVE.. that you need to adjust servo throw end points. If the servo moves too much.. it starts to open the valve and then partially close it again! BAH! This was a nightmare.. and took us HOURS to figure out.
Now..its a matter of playing with the controls to smooth everything out.. But as I film these videos on Saturday, and upload them for Sunday morning.. I did not have enough time to make it finessed. I will do that later this week.
For those that are wondering, this is a kit that I unboxed on my channel a few weeks ago... Here is the link to the original video:
