At 3.21pm on Monday, traffic was moving relatively smoothly southbound on the North-South Expressway near Senawang before a Perodua Myvi, which police say was driven recklessly, caused a crash.
What happened next, left many in absolute shock. A two-year-old boy was flung out of his family’s vehicle following the accident caused by the Myvi.
The child landed in the middle of the overtaking lane on what would usually be a busy highway, but miraculously survived.
Negeri Sembilan Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Ibrahim Mohd Abdul Kadir said the toddler sustained injuries in his forearms and head, and is currently being treated at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban.
The Myvi driver has been arrested and the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act.
