After a recent incident involving a two-year boy being flung out of a moving car after a high speed crash near Senawang, Transport Minister Anthony Loke has a message for parents.
The accident on Monday afternoon, which took place on the North-South Expressway near Senawang, resulted in a two-year-old boy being flung out of his family’s vehicle.
The child landed in the middle of the overtaking lane.
Fortunately, the car approaching the toddler had plenty of time to brake.
The driver of a Perodua Myvi which caused the accident has been remanded for three days to facilitate investigations.
Meanwhile, the boy’s father, K Satthiaseelan said he was driving on the right lane of the expressway when, through his rear-view mirror, he saw a Honda Jazz flicking its high beam, with a Perodua Myvi trailing closely behind it.
He said the Myvi suddenly came from the left lane and cut across to the right lane, hitting the left rear side of his car.
The impact caused him to ram into the divider. Causing his son to fly through the window of the front passenger seat.
