The DAP is prepared to hold a re-election for its central executive committee (CEC) "under protest".
DAP vice chairperson Teresa Kok said that in view of how the ROS directive was given to the party at a time when the 14th general election could be held at anytime, the party was ready to hold a re-election for its CEC under protest without forfeiting their rights to legal action, if needed.
