It was a political stunt of sorts. On Tuesday, the press received a tip off that several DAP members would leave the party to join Barisan Nasional later that day.

However after the event, one of the participants reporters spoke to revealed that she had no idea what she was getting into, adding that she was merely asked to attend the event.
