30-year-old Mahendra Sumudam, who was detained at IPD Sentul on April 29 to assist police in a robbery investigation, claimed that he was hit, abused and tortured by several officers during custody.
Accompanied by a lawyer, Mahendra submitted a memorandum to the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) on Friday and urged the commission to look into the case.
