Rembia assemblyperson Muhammad Jailani Khamis who joined PAS while on suspension from Umno has advised Nenggiri voters not to vote for candidates who "migrate" to other parties for allocation, like the incumbent for the state seat Mohd Azizi Abu Naim

Jailani first won the Rembia seat on a PKR ticket during the 14th general election in 2018, and two years later defected to BN along with three others from Pakatan Harapan to form the new state government.
