The planned gathering by Chinese associations over the Jawi calligraphy issue will further divide the country, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The Prime Minister said educationist group Dong Jiao Zong’s plans to hold a rally to pressure the government to do away with the Jawi script module would create racial tension.
Dr Mahathir told reporters after visiting the media centre at the Kuala Lumpur Summit on Friday.
