This year’s Sexiest Man Alive has been revealed! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is gracing the coveted People magazine cover and taking home the title for 2016.
He’s gone from college football player to pro wrester to box office sensation to now, the sexiest Man Alive. Is there anything “The Rock” can’t do?
Dwayne Johnson has officially been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2016. Last year, David Beckham received the title. Previous titleholders also include Chris Hemsworth in 2014, Adam Levine in 2013 and Channing Tatum in 2012.
When Dwayne received the call, he admits his first thoughts were, “Wow, we've pretty much reached the pinnacle. I'm not quite too sure where we go from here. I've done it all, this is it."
The 44-year-old has had an amazing career, but he wasn’t always a huge success. When Dwayne, got cut from a Canadian football league in 1995, he had only $7 dollars to his name. During his People mag interview, Dwayne opened up about how that moment came to be a defining one in his life.
Dwayne went on to name his production company 7 Bucks Productions, to remind himself where he came from and inspire others to defy the odds.
So, what makes Dwayne so sexy? He told the magazine, "This is the kind of question that gets me into trouble," but admitted that his “sense of humor” is probably the sexiest thing about him.
Dwayne has a ton movies coming out in 2017, including Jumanji and Baywatch. Plus, you can catch him voicing Maui in Disney’s Moana out this Thanksgiving.
